Summary

This bill would require the Department of Education to provide a workforce stabilization payment, totaling up to $10,000, to each eligible school paraprofessional for work performed during the 2026-2027 school year. Workforce stabilization payments would be prorated according to the number of days an eligible school paraprofessional was on payroll in the relevant payment period during the 2026-2027 school year. Such workforce stabilization payments would be paid to eligible school paraprofessionals in four separate installments based on the work performed during each payment period, listed below:
