A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the provision of luggage to youth in foster care

Summary

This bill would require the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) to provide luggage to youth entering the foster care system, transitioning between foster homes, or exiting the foster care system. The bill would also require ACS to report on their efforts to provide luggage to youth in foster care, any barriers encountered in providing luggage to such youth, and additional efforts to be taken in the upcoming year to overcome those barriers.
