Summary

This bill would require the Department of Education (DOE), in consultation with the Department of Youth and Community Development, to develop materials with comprehensive information about afterschool programs available at each elementary, middle and high school. These materials would include a list of programs at each school, their contact information, costs, eligibility requirements and application process. The DOE would be required to distribute these materials to all students and parents each school year and ensure their accessibility in each school’s main office, on individual school websites, the DOE’s website and any online portal for students and parents.
