Summary

This bill would require the NYPD to provide quarterly reports detailing information on level one, two, and three investigative encounters between the police and civilians, including the race/ethnicity, age and gender of the civilian approached by the police, the factors that led to the interaction, and whether the interaction led to a summons or use of force incident. The first such report would be due within 30 days of the quarter ending September 30, 2024.
