A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to administering a public service corps program

Summary

This bill would require the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) to administer a public service corps program pursuant to which undergraduate and graduate students may participate in internships at city agencies. In administering such program, DCAS would need to make efforts to recruit students from diverse backgrounds and offer internships at a broad range of agencies. In addition, this bill would require DCAS to submit an annual report on its administration of the public service corps program.
