Summary

This bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to report on its website, every two weeks, positive COVID-19 cases among administrators, teachers, students and other school staff in every DOE school. The reporting would also include which schools have been closed due to COVID-19 and the number of classrooms that have been closed due to COVID-19. The DOE would also be required to report on the number of administrators, teachers, students and other school staff who have been fully and partially vaccinated for COVID-19. The student reporting metrics would, to the extent such information is collected, is to also reported on a monthly basis in a disaggregated way by grade level, gender, race or ethnicity, individualized education program status, English language learner status, status as a student residing in shelter and status as a student in temporary housing that is not a shelter.
