A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to updating the receptacle requirements of the department of sanitation, and requiring the department to identify and publish receptacle requirements

Summary

This bill requires that DSNY identify and publish, on its website, all receptacle requirements for solid waste and recyclable material collected by DSNY at dwellings with 1 to 9 residential units. This bill further requires that DSNY shall deem receptacles as meeting all requirements if they were not designed or manufactured pursuant to a procurement process with the city but otherwise meet all receptacle requirements. Lastly, this bill cleans up the violation scheme in the amended section of the code by removing parentheses from around paragraph numbers, for consistency with all other parts of the section.
