Summary

This bill would require New York City (“City”) agencies to purchase food and beverages that do not contain certain petroleum-based synthetic food dyes, including, but not limited to, Red Dye 40, Yellow Dye 5, Yellow Dye 6, or other food dyes as determined by the City Chief Procurement Officer, in consultation with the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Food Policy.
