Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to provide and facilitate hearing screenings for school aged children from 4 to 18 years old throughout the City. The screenings would be conducted at DOHMH facilities and facilities at any other appropriate agency throughout the City. The bill would also require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and any other appropriate agency to develop an outreach campaign to inform parents and students of the hearing tests.
