Summary

This bill would require the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development to schedule a subsequent inspection when a prior attempt to inspect an apartment unit is unsuccessful. It would also require the Department to notify the tenant of the subsequent inspection in writing and via text or email, as well as send the tenant same-day updates via text or email on the inspector’s estimated arrival time.
