A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to creating a department of community safety

This legislation creates a Department of Community Safety that will be tasked with promoting community safety, and providing emergency responses that support the preservation of public health, safety and welfare. This effort will involve collaboration with emergency responders, social service and public health officials, and the maintenance of field operations to facilitate the delivery of services to vulnerable populations and advance a sense of security within a community.
