A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to department of buildings procedures regarding gaining access for inspections in response to a complaint

This bill would require the Department of Buildings (DOB) to follow specific procedures when trying to gain access to a building or property to conduct an inspection in response to a complaint of violations, including not categorizing a complaint as “closed” after two failed attempts to enter, and only categorizing a complaint as “closed” when the complaint has been cured.
