A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the department of homeless services to report on the placement of families with children into shelters

Summary

This bill would require the Department of Homeless Services to produce an annual report on the number and percentage of families with children in the shelter system who are placed in the same zip code as their last address prior to their placement into a shelter and the number and percentage who were placed in an adjoining zip code.
