A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to compensation of the mayor, public advocate, members of the city council, borough presidents, comptroller and district attorneys

Summary

This bill would amend the annual salary of the Mayor to $300,500, the annual salary of the Public Advocate to $215,000, the annual salary of the Members of the City Council to $172,500, the annual salary of the Speaker of the City Council to $191,000, the annual salary of the Borough Presidents to $208,000, the annual salary of the Comptroller to $243,000 and the annual salary of the District Attorneys to $247,500. The bill would also require that the Mayor convene an advisory commission to review and make recommendations regarding the compensation levels of elected officials in New York City before December 31, 2026.
