A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to giving council members the power to make appointments to community boards

Summary

Currently, Council Members can only nominate community board members, and these nominations must be approved by the Borough Presidents. This bill would grant Council Members the power to directly appoint up to half of the members of community boards in their districts.
