Summary

This bill would require the Department of Buildings (DOB) to notify a property owner in writing when DOB determines that a structure must be demolished without delay because it poses an imminent danger to public safety. The notice would include the demolition’s approximate start date, the owner’s responsibility to pay for the demolition, and contact information for a representative at the DOB who is knowledgeable about emergency demolitions.
