Summary

This bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to develop and implement an education and outreach campaign targeting families with children who are eligible to enroll in 3-K or pre-K. DOE would be required to provide the public with information on the benefits of early childhood education, how to apply to 3-K and pre-K, and 3-K and pre-K programs with available seats. Additionally, DOE would be required to collaborate with the New York City Housing Authority, Department of Social Services, and Administration for Children’s Services in its outreach efforts.
