Summary

This bill would require that by January 1, 2030, buildings that are classified as business, mercantile, or residential under the city Building Code would be required to comply with the bird-friendly windows and exteriors requirements of the Building Code, except for detached one and two family dwellings, which would not be required to comply. Buildings replacing any exterior glazing would be required to replace the specific glazing being altered with bird-friendly materials.
