Summary

This bill would repeal laws that limit the Department of Correction’s, Department of Probation’s, and the New York City Police Department’s cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”). This bill would also repeal a law that prohibits the City from partnering with ICE to enforce federal immigration law and that prohibits the use of City resources, property, and information obtained on behalf of the City in furtherance of federal immigration enforcement.
