Summary

This bill would require the Department of Correction (“DOC”), the Department of Investigation (“DOI”), the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (“OATH”), and the Board of Correction (“BOC”) to issue reports regarding staff misconduct cases against DOC employees. DOC and DOI would be required to report on closed staff misconduct cases from the past 10 years. DOC and OATH would also be required to issue a monthly report on open cases and a monthly report on cases closed in the previous month. DOI would be required to issue a quarterly report on cases closed in the previous quarter. BOC would be required to issue a quarterly report on staff misconduct cases that they referred to DOC, DOI, a district attorney, or the Department of Justice.
