A Local Law to amend the New York city charter, in relation to race and ethnicity data collected by agencies

Summary

This bill would require certain agencies that collect demographic information from individuals through form documents to include additional race and ethnicity options based on U.S. Census data. These options would have to be incorporated into existing forms unless a law prevents the amendment of those forms, in which case an agency may seek a waiver to amend those forms.
