A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to increasing the civil penalty for repeated littering violations

Summary

This bill would set a civil penalty against commercial, manufacturing or industrial buildings for violations of Admin. Code § 16-118(2)(a) (sidewalk littering and obstruction) of $200 for the first violation, $400 for the second violation committed on a different day within any 12 month period, and $600 for the third and each subsequent violation committed on a different day within any 12 month period.
