Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), in collaboration with the Office of Emergency Management (OEM), to create and operate a warming centers program, which would open at least two warming centers in each borough of the City during code blue alerts. It would also require DOHMH, with OEM, to conduct outreach and to annually report on such program and submit such reports to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council and post such reports on its website.
