Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to report annually on hospital treatment of and programs for survivors of sexual assault. The annual reports would provide information, by month, on the survivors treated by hospitals for a sexual assault and a list of hospital programs for survivors, by borough. The list of programs would include the program’s name and address, the services that the program provided, the follow-up that the program conducted with survivors, and information about the program’s staff and volunteers. DOHMH would provide this information to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council and post it online on its website.
