Summary

This bill would require the Police Commissioner to be confirmed by the Council. Within 10 days of a vacancy, the Mayor must submit a nominee to the Council. If the Council disapproves, the Mayor must submit a new nomination within 10 days of Council disapproval. The term limit of the Commissioner would also be changed from five years to four years.
