Summary

This bill would highlight the inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity minority groups in the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Division of Labor Services within the Department of Small Business Services (“SBS”) applicable to contractors and subcontractors with New York City. The bill would also require SBS to include sexual orientation and gender identity information in a voluntary survey provided to prospective city contractors and subcontractors seeking information regarding their executive directors, officers and staff.
