Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to conduct a study on the peer support mental health services that City agencies provide. The study would need to be completed by March 1, 2021 and would include a description of each agency’s programs, the challenges of administering such programs, the efforts taken to address the challenges, and the need to create or expand peer support mental health services. DOHMH would submit a report on the study to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council and post it online on its website.
