Summary

This bill would address situations in which an animal has been injured in New York City, and an animal welfare provider under contract with New York City is called to the field and determines that the animal requires veterinary care. In such cases, the owner of the animal would be required to pay the reasonable costs of veterinary care administered by such animal welfare provider, or provide evidence that other veterinary care was administered to the animal within twelve hours.
