Summary

The Special One-Time Assistance (“SOTA”) program is a rental assistance program administered by the Human Resources Administration (“HRA”) that provides one year’s rent to certain qualified homeless individuals. This bill would mandate HRA to require landlords and brokers to certify that prospective dwelling units located within and outside New York City rented through the SOTA program are in compliance with all applicable building and housing code standards of the relevant jurisdiction.
