Summary
This bill would require the Department of Social Services/Human Resources Administration to develop and provide materials to legal services organizations with which it contracts to inform individuals about public benefits in relation to the federal regulations relating to inadmissibility on public charge grounds. The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs would be required to provide a dedicated telephone number for referrals to legal services for assistance with questions regarding the federal regulations.
