Summary

This bill would require the Department of Environmental Protection to provide notice to Council Members before DEP installs a bioswale in such Council Members’ districts. A bioswale, otherwise known as a “rain garden” is a form of green infrastructure where areas of sidewalks have planted areas that are designed to collect and manage storm water runoff.
