Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, in consultation with other appropriate agencies, to establish a pilot program to provide bleeding control training and kits to New York City residents, in particular students, those who work with children, clergy and parishioners. The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene would also be required to report on the program, including its cost, its effectiveness, and recommendations with respect to expanding the program or making it permanent.
