A Local Law in relation to requiring the department of transportation to study safety measures for outdoor train platforms

Summary

This bill would require the Department of Transportation to study and report on preventative safety measures for trains that travel above ground, including the subway, Long Island Rail Road, Staten Island Railway and Metro North trains. Such preventative safety measures would aim to protect people from jumping or falling onto the tracks from the train platform.
