A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to towing vehicles that lack license plates or registration stickers

Summary

This bill would require that vehicles left on the street without license plates be removed by the Department of Sanitation within 72 hours, or towed by a towing company that is part of the New York Police Department (NYPD) Rotation Tow Program within 24 hours of being directed to do so by the NYPD. This bill would also require that vehicles parked without registration stickers be towed by a towing company that is part of NYPD Rotation Tow Program within 24 hours of being directed to do so by the NYPD.
