Summary

This bill would require the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications, in conjunction with the Department of Records and Information Services, to establish a pilot program that creates a web portal, developed with blockchain technology, where videos of meetings held by city agencies would be accessible. Blockchains, the technology behind cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, provide what is a more secure way of linking, identifying and tracking digital transactions or records between multiple users in a shared network of computers.
