A Local Law in relation to applications for licenses to sell electronic cigarettes by electronic cigarette retail dealers

Summary

This bill would extend the time period for electronic cigarette retailers that were not licensed by the August 23, 2018 deadline to apply for electronic cigarette retail dealer licenses. Under this extension, they will be permitted to apply for licenses as long as (i) they sold electronic cigarettes before August 28, 2017, when Local Law 144 passed, requiring they obtain a license; (ii) they have not applied for licenses during the initial application period; and (iii) they meet all other legal requirements for licensure.
