Summary

This bill would require the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to offer a set aside of vacant affordable housing units to individuals or families who lost their homes due to a fire in the nearest community district from where the fire occurred. It would also require that HPD keep track of such vacant units and periodically report to each Council Member on the number of vacant units available their districts.
