Summary

This local law would require the Department of Housing Preservation and Development to promulgate a list of interior air pollutants and threshold amounts that would be dangerous for humans. Then, beginning January 1, 2023 and thereafter, this local law would require the owner of a multiple dwelling or a one or two family dwelling to test for such interior air pollutants and to remediate such air pollutants that are found in hazardous amounts prior to the offer of a lease or occupancy.
