A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to online access to video of alleged red light camera and speed camera violations

Summary

This local law would require the Transportation Commissioner, in consultation with the Finance Commissioner, to establish secure websites that allow the owner of a vehicle who has received a notice of liability for a speed or red light camera violation to view video of the alleged violation. Additionally, the notice of liability for such violations would be required to include the address of the website and a unique identifier that permits the vehicle owner to access the website to view the video.
